Well the economic advantages of rejoining the rest of Ireland is quite commonly cited. But yes that more specific point about economic governance doesn't feature prominently. That may be because proponents of reunification don't have a consolidated position on how a united Ireland would actually...
...be governed. Polling shows that support for reunification weakens considerably when those polled are asked about special arrangements for NI re: representation in government, autonomy from central government etc.
Even without any autonomy whatsoever, Northern Ireland would have more influence as part of ROI in Brussels than now because now it's exactly zero.
Yew that's certainly true. My point is the topic is probably avoided as it raises lines of questioning that proponents would probably prefer to avoid for strategic reasons at this phase of their campaign.
