Might not be that challenging, at least from what I hear about Alaska farming--short season but stuff grows really fast. Depends on the permafrost layer and what happens with it, though.
Apparently there are methods to grow a number of crops in subarctic zones. Iirc someone in Siberia even managed to grow oranges without significant outside heat input. It involves deep trenching.
