Even the big guys rarely push 4 meters.
ours are big bastards, and from something I read haven't changed much if at all since they were dinosaurs, also they are bloody fast - every year or two an Indigenous kid or a tourist gets it...
We all know about Australia's wildlife. How the aboriginal people managed is a testament to their intelligence.
if you've not read them can I highly recommend Bruce Pascoe's Dark Emu and Bill Gammage's Biggest Estate on Earth, both utterly brilliant :)
I'll put them on my short list!
they are both really good, Bruce is an Indigenous writer and brings that unique experience to the table, Bill is an academic historian, I consider them complimentary volumes :)
Those histories are precious and fragile! I'll move them closer to the top.
absolutely, although not related but Indigenous histories like Dee Brown's Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee are must read books in my opinion.
