If the Blue states secede, US military who are residents of blue states will create a blue state military. Also, without blue states, the rump US can’t pay its bills. The US military doesn’t want to engage in urban warfare.

The US military may not be eager to attack US citizens. Also, a lot of military are from blue states. Either fight for freedom or become slaves.

Depends on how maniacal MAGA/GOP/Trump want to get… but my guess is that they’d round-up all of the political leadership and probably anyone else that was against them. At the very least they’d put them in prison or deport them.

War is based on logistics. To take California, a state of 40 million, an army would have to cross over 200 miles of open desert. The logistics are daunting and with drone warfare, suicidal.
