Looks like an engraving. Gorgeous.

Thanks so much for your kind words
We like it!!
Thanks
Made me think of some of those early early bird photos... Not sure why... Maybe the short depth of field and out of focus background
Works for me. Really sets a mood.
Thank you
Striking. We tend to often overlook the innate drama of B&W. Well done.
Thank you much appreciated
I love this. How have you managed to get this look? Have you done a lot in the tone curve?
No did not use tone curve at all
That's not just a standard b&w conversion, what was your process?
First I masked the heron reduced structure in the background added detail to the heron also use desaturation and soft focus and a little noise reduction setting. And played with contrast settings low medium and high I did do a bit more to it but that's the basic took me two and a half hours
Well worth the time and effort. I really like it
Animals and natural settings are more than worthy of being the subjects of the full spectrum of the art of portraiture ☺️👏🏻
Very kind and thank you
You’re welcome ☺️
Love it. 💕

Stunning! This is gorgeous. Definitely hits out of the park! I imagine there were more there a few compelling choices in post.
Have seen some old black and white lithographs that's what give me the idea took my time with this took me about two and a half hours
I love the edit. makes it all look like some kind of diorama
