When I say something stupid here I often think about just deleting the post out of embarrassment but then I always decide not to, because you know what? Even people who own exceptionally beautiful dogs can be stupid on social media. Let’s normalise it.
I decided years ago that being loudly stupid on a regular basis was necessary: it kept me appropriately humble, and it vastly lowered the expectations of everyone around me. That might possibly be rationalization, of course.
