There was nothing to abandon. Ukraine was never an ally. The Crimea was an autonomous oblast that CHOSE to join Russia. We should respect the Crimean peoples will for self-determination.

Russia has a Cold War Era relic it calls an aircraft carrier and China has three. But two of those are outdated and run on diesel. Meanwhile, the US have 11 aircraft carriers. So, Russia and China are not invading us.

We have the largest Navy in the world which includes more true aircraft carriers than EVERY other nation COBINED. Russia and China can not get near us. And if they managed to launch a small attack on US soli, they would be annihilated within hours.

Idgaf what makes Putin happy. The fact remains that the Crimeans are overwhelmingly happy being part of Russia. This is apparent by polling and the almost complete lack of resistance to Russian forces. Afterall, they've had a few years to launch partisan attacks. They have not.

Ok. And the lack of resistance? You ignored that part, didn't you? Why aren't the Crimeans killing Russian "occupiers" in their sleep? Why no bombs planted in Russian military vehicles and buildings? The Crimeans aren't resisting because they're HAPPY about being a part of Russia.
