Women have been outpacing men in recent years socially, in higher education and financial compensation. This scares the shit out of a certain type of man. Thus, the movement to put women back in the kitchen, barefoot and pregnant, disguised as a “wellness” trend.
But why are these women falling for it?
I think Covid had a bigger effect on people mentally than we knew at the time. Take rejection of medical expertise, wrap it in “wellness”, season with “Christian values” and top it off with the very real fact that being a working mother is very very hard. There’s your formula for rejecting feminism
maybe the subtext is "cocooning in old-fashioned marriage is safe"
