The 'lesser evil' narrative is deeply ingrained here. A lot of people now wondering why they fell for it at the last general election, given that the lesser evil seems to be about the same as what was happening before.

I know a lot of Brits who voted for Labour who have gone awfully quiet. I wish they'd come out and admit they made a mistake but I guess that's not the British way

I have seen a fair few Brits going "it was a mistake, I'll not make that mistake again" but also that's probably a little self-selected by who I follow. Unfortunately a lot of us just think we have to soldier on & pretend Labour are less terrible because ? I'm glad I didn't vote for those pillocks.
