Yeah I didn’t listen to any Taylor Swift albums til Folklore, she might be the only person who actually benefited from the pandemic

Oh I’m an elder millennial, I just was not into her older stuff, but after Folklore/Evermore I gave the TVs a try and found a handful of older stuff I liked.

They’re not albums with singles so they wouldn’t break containment the way Shake It Off did but they’re also…much better than Shake It Off lol

Yeah she happened to catch the exact right mood (gloomy, wanting to walk into the woods) at a time when we had nothing to do but hyper focus on any sliver of new pop culture. The lack of singles feels very true of several artists - it seems only the new artists get multiple singles with radio play.
