Selecting 355 homicides in 98 years, [between 1296 and 1398] does not give you a very big database and there is a big overlap with the 100 year war against the French [1337 à 1453]. There must have been many more murders that aren't taken into account IMHO

Not really a surprise. Religion has been so very violent all over the world. Against other religions and even their own worshipers. Religion is the root of all evils.
