Borderline, but I would understand anyone who thought that it didn't look that good for someone who had the greater part of their life paid for with money obtained from pharma to preside over that. How would it look if the magistrate's brother-in-law had died because of an insurance company denial?
Fine? All she did was take his plea. She’s not assigned to the case.
Ok, point taken. Let’s see who does get assigned. Probably nobody with a CEO or three in their friends circle, surely. Judges don’t often associate with folks like that, do they?
Of the judges at SDNY, who would you most like to see get it?
I don’t know the backgrounds of all 45 district judges at SDNY, but hopefully there are at least one or two who grew up in a middle class neighborhood, and are still young enough to remember it.
