Barb, read the other comments. I have a divergent form of Mastocytosis, and histamine plays a higher role in my consciousness than it does for most people. I also have a greater body awareness and can to some degree regulate my heart rate and blood pressure. I am divergent, in physical ways.
At the time, I had a diagnosis of FND, and they didn't know what was wrong with me, and I had seen DOZENS of doctors over 15 years of having MAJOR dissociative symptoms. They kept telling me it was psychological and to see a psychiatrist.
I did not HAVE an allergic reaction, you absolute fucking moron. I developed severe thyroiditis and subsequent MAJOR auto immune issues. I lost nightshades, I lost herbs, I lost most oils, I lost coffee and citrus. I cannot even eat at a restaurant. I cannot even smell a cigarette from 10 feet away.
ALL of this severity began within WEEKS of the COVID shot. Months of having COVID, and just weeks from the shot. No symptoms before, mandated, symtpoms after. Now, think of an explanation that fits what actually happened in real life.
Why haven't you established and developed workplace adjustments for yourself. That's what ADA is all about. You have a RARE condition, the exact triggers may never be known. So you can not transfer your reactions to any other person, let alone groups of people.
What? I was not diagnosed at the time. They mandated vaccines, no one was there to say I should not get one. FND is not a vaccine disqualifying condition. You see a neurologist for that. They don't know shit about the immune system. Mandating vaccines hurts people. It hurt me, and I am a person.
Not taking a vaccine in certain workplaces hurts people, too. Adverse reactions can occur with Tylenol. No two physiologies are the same. You are taking your experience and applying it to others. It doesn’t work like that. There are things dangerous to me, but I don’t extrapolate that to others.
