I could see supernatural genre.It depends on how people categorize film. To me what is named horror in the past 30-40 years is actually slash or torture movies with an overabundance of cruelty & gore.Never got the appeal of seeing someone hurt. Horror to me is moody suspenseful with deep pathos
Exactly why I’d read your thesis. I know it would be well-argued. I agree with you on mood, and indeed Gabriel has every intention of *creating* horror from their actions. One reason I find the movie so fascinating is I feel like this is exactly what a “big picture” cosmic entity could/would do?
