"The 2025 Medical Ethics Defense Act allows physicians to deny care to patients whose lifestyles they disagree with." This grotesque legislation is what passes for *medical ethics* in the Republican Party.

Um, Hippocratic Oath? Anyone? Anyone?
War is peace...
Outrageous!🤬
See? That baby should have chosen a better mother! (Yes, this is grotesque)
How is this person a fucking doctor?
I guess physicians can refuse to care for MAGA patients.
It’s because they’re pro-life dontchaknow. 🙄
Hippocratic Oath supersedes this ridiculous legislation, right? I am so concerned with doctors’ confusion these days, hampering their ability to do what is medically necessary and patient’s rights to treatment. Fearful of insurance company’s screwing doctors over in coverage of procedures.
Pro Life
So if they disapproved of someone smoking, or failing to exercise, they could just deny care?
Right, or if they thought you were just horsing around on the ski slopes, they would refuse to set your broken leg because they disapprove of such misbehavior? It's all so disgusting.
Hippocratic Oath must have some value!
The cruelty is everywhere. The laws passed by some states reflects state-level authoritarian control. No more liberty 🗽. Constitution more meaningless by the day. Are we facing Civil War by well-armed civilian militias?
I believe Trump has been preparing for war since first term. His own army formed (but will the US army, marines, navy,Air Force, national guards be with us? I doubt it watching our police partake in violence agst us and immigrants daily). 1/6 he should have been charged, tried and imprisoned
What about the MEN involved?
“Praise be.” Magas read “The Handmaid’s Tale”, and instead of a dystopian novel they saw a blueprint for their version of a perfect society.
Yank their licenses. Don't care if some stupid federal legislation purports to impose "supremacy" over an inherently core sovereign function of a state government. The state has the right to regulate the medical profession. Ladies, don't live in these medical hell holes if you can help it.
I was wondering why all of these young girls voted in their own worst interest in this last election 😵💫🥴 This is exactly how I imagined it to be
And the ethical attitude toward her future child also denied care in this incident? Denial of care for her is reprehensible
In 2015 I had an ectopic pregnancy in my fallopian tube. When I called the OBGYN that treated me in the ER for my follow up, they asked if I would have kept the fetus if it was viable. I was honest- no. “Then we can’t provide you with treatment.” Can’t say I’m shocked it still happens.
so they’re beyond making up “religious” pretexts now. just “I don’t like your behavior so die”. and of course they don’t imagine that a doctor could refuse to treat them because of the trump sticker on their car.
