That's one of the last hopes I have left. That Trump is a one-time thing, just a horrible, horrible anomaly in the universe that can't be repeated. Let the cult disintegrate when they can't find a new leader.

Hitler, Stalin, Orban etc did it. He’s not a one off phenomenon. When an empire is going downhill these are usually emerging from the sewage.

The difference with all three of those people you mentioned is there was no mass resistance to their takeover in the early stages. Here there are demonstrations every single day, some of them huge, and even though it took a while, governors and mayors are standing up rather than capitulating.

I’m not questioning the difference. Those three are European-ish. The US is a different country with far different structure. I’m stating the obvious. The question is that if the structure of America is resilient enough to withstand the shitstorm?
