Because the club has invested in them as an asset, players can’t simply walk away or throw a tantrum. In some cases, the clubs do pay off a contract, but that depends on the circumstances. Also, why are clubs the ones footing the bill for agents?
They are parasites of the sport, taking millions out of the game. Surely it should be the players paying them, since the agents are ultimately working on their behalf
