Oh OK. I clearly have not read a lot of the later books. so I missed a lot of the minor characters. I did read many of the early books - the ones from the 1960s and 1970s. But I stopped read peanuts in the 1980s. I was a teenager and too much into high school, homework, and music.

My mom benefited from this program. She was born in rural Kentucky in 1933. The librarian would stay with her family. Books had so much power back then. They were valued more. My mom left the world with bookshelves full of books. 📚 She became a teacher like most of her siblings.

I highly recommend this book, published in 1931 it traces the rise of post-World War I prosperity up to the Wall Street crash of 1929. You will be amazed at how the US is making SO many of the same mistakes and moving rapidly backwards to Yesterday. We didn't learn from our mistakes.
