Right. I get that. But she is not, in fact, “handing it to them.” If she said something like, “I disagree with their methods but at least the trains ran on time,” that would be an example worth a dril tweet reply. What she’s said is not “apologism.” It’s a warning and call to action.

correct. there ARE legitimate reasons to criticize taylor. nazi apologism isn't one of them currently. the reasons we have so many gd nazis in america is bc they're really good at befriending people that meet their metrics and radicalizing them (especially in online spaces).

There's a pattern that whenever someone gets targeted on one of these apps for a bad tweet, people bombard them. The hurt person becomes isolated and ripe pickins for the right to swoop in and love bomb. It's how cults work. And yes, the Nazi Party did it too. Other hyperbole, what's the problem?

I think you should seriously question the motives of people chummy with Nazis. It’s a very simple concept. It there are 11 people at a table, and 1 is a Nazi, there are 11 Nazis at the table.

You should especially question the motives of journalists who are chummy with Nazis. Fascism is antithetical to journalism, they are the natural enemies. So why the fuck is an “independent” journalist paling around with them?

Absolutely agree-- it's an old Polish proverb that I'm familiar with, as well as the tolerance paradox. But was she sitting at a table with Nazis? Or was she making a point that Nazis are good at tablescaping? Because those are not the same things.

I research misogyny and how it appears on the internet. I've followed Taylor for a while so I'm hesitant to pile on considering the sheer amount of misogyny she's faced long before this. I AM NOT SAYING her experience is an excuse for her behavior, it's just a factor I consider.

But I do think Twitter has broken her brain and it's getting very sad. Thanks for the additional info. Any tips where I can find the 4Chan stuff?
