Is it so hard to accept that the Nazis ruined the symbol for everyone in the present and near future? Nobody wants to see that.

But it DIDN’T ruin it for everyone. This is the euro centric view I’m trying to explain. It is a common symbol of good fortune throughout Asia to this day. Even in Europe, the symbol wasn’t originally fascist. The Elephant Gate in Denmark is the most obvious example.

The use of it as "a symbol of luck" is all part of the mess. Like I said, Germany didn't just flip a switch and go full genocide on over night. The reason the swastika was adopted was very likely because it looked similar to many similar Norse symbols. Nordicism was one of the core values of it all.

White supremacy was science back then, so it wasn't considered "evil". It was just the way things were. Industrialism was the evidence. blond hair and blue eyes were the visual signs. This ideology lived on long after 1945. Race biology was studied in universities until the '70s.

This "religious" belief that nordicism was superior people can be found all over. Like, Denmark decided to retake Schleswig-Holstein from the German Prussian empire in the late 1800s. It obviously ended in disaster, as wars aren't decided by how fair one's hair is. 😋

And now we have Indians buying oil and helping Russian nazis to kill people in Ukraine. Swastika all over again.
