I made it to the bridge. It was next to the aquarium.

Picture of the Black Sabbath bridge from the other side. Canal and River Trust sign. Formally known as Broad Street Bridge, this bridge was renamed in 2019 in recognition of Birmingham's famous rock band, Black Sabbath. Formed in 1968, the band is often credited as being a pioneer of heavy metal and is one of the city's most famous exports. Black Sabbath is not the only link Birmingham has to metal - the connection goes all the way back to medieval times. During the Industrial Revolution, Birmingham and its jewellery quarter had a reputation as the 'workshop of the world thanks to its use of casting metal. Hot liquid metal was poured into sand casts leading to the city becoming famous for items including buckles, belts, snuff boxes and jewellery.

There’s still so many tributes on the bench.

See if you can spot me on the livestream.

Trying to work out how to get the livestream. “Where is the camera?” Hanging out by the bench. Paying respects in the crowd.

Some of my favourite tributes left by fans.

A bouquet wrapped in colourful garden themed cloth with a rock that says RIP JOHN. A cartoon hand drawn of Ozzy holding on to a dog in clouds wearing his sunglasses and hat. An embroidered charm of Ozzy under a note from a fan who made it. A note in pencil from a 14 year old fan.
