Oh, nevermind. It's someone's weird ponytail. I was ready to believe his alien overlord was there.

Wider crop of same scene. A woman in front and nearer the camera than turnip has a shaggy blonde ish brown ish ponytail thing on her shoulder. The depth of field in the photo is distorted, the ponytail looks larger and closer to him than it actually is.
