As others have pointed out, not if they don't put tags, alt-text, or anything else. So even if you do put up the strictest of filters you'll still see it.

To never show any pictures? People frequently post images untagged which avoids moderation and mute lists.

if you see adult content that isn't properly labelled, you can report it

I've been doing that so much it feels like I should be getting paid to be the moderator.

yeah some people just don't seem to bother labelling their images (or don't know how) and a lot does still get past the automod :/

It's just frustrating cause I can report the post, block the account, and say I'm not interested in that kind of crap yet I still see it every time I open the app regardless of the updates.

Would that violate the rules of the website? I think you can report it if they are breaking the rules.

Reporting doesn't do shit. I've blocked and reported at least 50 accounts just to still see it.

Besides, ALT tags are yet another channel to funnel in commentary, wit and background. I'm glad I was beaten into using them. But I did have to be beaten. And...and... now .... I kinda LIKE IT. Damn you BLUESKY! I'm sorry, didn't mean it.
