So, eventhough the Green's have never had enough of the vote to tip the needle on any policy, for any government, you contest that they should have been more stern in their position on issues of concern for you? Do I have that right?

There is no magic number assigned as bargaining power. It's up to them what they are willing to hold out for/give away. If you think asking me to continue to vote under this theory that this party will never have enough bargaining power, that's a fail strategy. Why would I?
That they haven't had any bargaining power is an objective fact. It is the hand dealt at every election to date. That the Green's have got as much as they have through is a testament to their negotiating abilities, from home insulation to carbon emissions targets....
Please do show me where it says in the MMP manual you must have "this much" of the vote to have certain demands? You're literally just making things up. And again, like I said why would I continue voting for them under your theory? After 30yrs of doing so I'd have to be an absolute mug, wouldn't I?
Every election, the Green's have declared their policy platform. Every election a government has been able to be formed without necessary involvement of the Green's. It wouldn't have mattered how dogged they might have been on any issue. That is the reality of MMP.
Look, you think you're getting enough, good for you. Not me considering the price I'm expected to pay (enabling Labour into leadership). Sorry it's a no. I'm not willing to do so without significant payoff.
What election have the Green's been able to enable Labour? Not one of them. Even when the Green's agreed to enter government with Labour, they weren't needed. Labour were able to govern alone. The Green's were effectively powerless in that arrangement, & only entered to try & make some change
You just correctly stated we don't know what the outcome will be. And as I said to you I can't take backsies after the fact. Why do you want me to keep voting for this party you keep telling me are powerless again?
Vote for whoever you will, I was just trying to make sense of what seems a pretty bizarre opinion to me. Kei te pai, you do you.
Well yes I intend to. I fundamentally disagree with your argument. I think it's an absurd claim that the left cannot have demands. We can and we should. If the left coalition want our votes then they should have to earn them. I will not join those who are willing to give theirs away without demands
Well now you're putting words in my mouth. Demands or wishlist, a Party has to be in a position to implement. The Green's have never been in that position. Your point is moot
You keep saying the Green's won't be in a position to have any leverage. Therefore why waste on vote on them? That's your position, right?
