The Reich has publicly admitted that the Guard is not deployed in the highest crime areas, because this isn’t about crime. They have the Guard concentrated in Southwest with the museums, monuments and government buildings where there are lots of tourists and cameras. It’s all performative bullshit.
I remember in the aftermath of 9/11 seeing Nat. Guard at Logan. One/two of them were carrying their carbines. Boston Cops have a (bad) rep, so seeing them carrying M-4s would made me nervous. Nat. Guards, they're there to protect us. So far, I think Dwumpy overthunk this one. #StupidIsAsStupidDoes
Same. I live on the Virginia side of DC and remember Dubya deploying the National Guard to Washington National and Dulles International to stand around holding weapons and doing nothing after 9/11. 100% performative, window dressing bullshit at taxpayer expense. 🤬
