More wasteful, performative bullshit. Undocumented immigrants aren’t eligible for Section 8 vouchers. Only citizens and those with legal residency can qualify and every Public Housing Agency verifies the legal status of each recipient with DHS. So this is just repeating what’s already been done. 🐂💩
Agree- however, what I’m seeing here is they want to know, for whomever holds the voucher, who lives in household with them. If a son or daughter holds the voucher, and their undocumented parent or other family member lives with them, ICE Goons want to know.
They claim the reason for this is to stop “illegals” from getting government assistance. However, Section 8 vouchers are pro-rated, meaning anyone in the household who doesn’t qualify doesn’t get the benefit. “Illegals“ are not getting Section 8 housing. It’s purely performative waste of our money.
