I am in Minneapolis. We are sick with grief. My co worker left work this AM as their kids were students there. Son was grazed by bullet which fully hit the child next to them. Other child not physically hurt. Sad day

I think back to Sandy Hook and how a neighbor of mine expressed his opposition to any kind of sensible gun legislation like banning military style weapons. He said that some former military members like to fire those weapons and no one should deprive them of that opportunity. And more people die.

My cousin taught his young daughters to shoot those guns. I stopped speaking to him when I found out. It’s been 15 years since I’ve seen them.

It is sad that our country has come to this point. While I grieve for the victims & families, I’m looking at every event as to when our version of the Reichstag Fire comes to life. Not saying this is it, and it is the 1st I’m hearing of the trans component of this. It would play to their benefit.

The white nationalist right is already blaming this on the fact that the shooter was Trans. That’s part of their agenda.

One thing we have in Canada I have so much love for is we don’t have to have thoughts and prayers every week when there’s a school shooting here, because they don’t exist. Like almost every other country in the world. Hmmm, wonder why that is?

If I had the money I would have left as soon as orange was sworn in. Like so many living here, I work paycheck to paycheck. We are literally trapped here. These people don’t care about children, animals, or human rights!
