Well, this is pretty strong but there is more than a kernel of truth here. They hijacked the Progressive label for an unsalable program of word salad, shaming, cancellation and toxic attack politics.

But here is the bigger point, the leadership, liberal moderates like me and the Democratic coalition let them do it out of fear they would walk. They walked anyway. We can't do this again.

Nevertheless, we need the progressive voices for ideas, concerns and programs. They need to run and win where they can. They are an important part of our incubator of Democratic thought (not, BTW, the only source). We just can't hand the party to them or run on their unexpurgated ideas.
