How do we know he DIDN'T coordinate with the White House and NSC? Perhaps the speech was intended to be that way in order to test the reaction internationally. WTF am I writing. There is no way Trump would be that conniving. Right?

I think it's a valid question. I don't know why Tom so confidently assumes that Hegseth's speech didn't come from someone in Trump's inner orbit.

It is contradicting what other American representatives are saying - for instance General Kellogg. This isn't the place for "a test". This plus the horribly incompetent appointments it has made. The American administration is coming off looking incompetent and losing allies.
