The best student protest we ever pulled in college (which I can take no credit for) was called the Dollar Pledge, where we donated some amount of money to some other charity and a dollar to MIT with a receipt from the other donation attached. The admin folded faster than the origami club

Jeez...It seems that my Associates degree from Cape Cod Community College is suddenly worth a lot more than a Doctorate from Columbia. Who knew?

I work at a higher education foundation and while yes, we 1,000% see these and try to address any and all concerns from alumni, this has to be heard, loudly, by the trustees. And sometimes it is very hard to get their ear even when your job is supposed to be just that.

Saying essentially that the handful of power brokers who directed these decisions need to be confronted loudly and directly too. In addition to what you’re suggesting.

I never understood why alumni contribute so much the universities after they graduate. It costs to much to attend the school and then they want your money afterwards. Think of all the better options to donate money to like elementary, middle or high schools where they actually need more money.

I sent my diploma back a few months ago. I wish I could do it again.
