I was sitting on 435 or so pages, then I dumped Times New Roman for Calibri and it shot up to 517 8 rewritten chapters to reformat (ugh) but I finally got under 500 pages today (yay)

Format size is a puzzler too. I like 8"x5" for novels but in the US the default is allegedly 6"x9". I think I'm going to settle for 8.5"x5.5" as a compromise!

But of course bigger means fewer pages which is also a nice trick I guess?

I'm already at 6" x 9" with the narrowest margins I can pull off for print With all hope I might get to 400 pages but 100-110k words so it'll even out
