LOL in what sense are those countries socialist, the means of production are firmly, and thank god for that in the hand of private capital in those countries with very few exceptions.

Look up tripartite governance, buddy. And if social democracies like Sweden or Belgium are capitalist enough for you, then Mamdani almost certainly is as well. Unless you hate him for being African or something, in which case, grow up.

He doesn't support things like free trade, has a national school voucher system, partially privatized pensions, no property tax, no inheritance tax, and much lower corporate taxes etc. you know the Swedish way.

I can’t speak for the African and South American countries, but every European democracy is a free-market capitalist economy. They’ve said so and were indignant when Bernie claimed they were Socialist. The Scandinavian countries actually have fewer regulations than the US.
