Anyhow, the immediate thing that started this brouhaha, Omar's complaint about Netanyahu, which I believe pretty well didn't say anything the ICC hasn't already said, isn't WRONG. GOP turning it into an offensefest isn't going to succeed in deflecting, if Omar can regain her head.
"Oh, you're a terrorist" is just silly projection. That's not so at this stage of the game. Omar could say "no, Zionist Israel, you're criminally paranoid and machiavellian, to boot!" And I am saying this as a liberal Christian. I've been thru the bible enough to know God frowns on that behavior

I think Zionist Israel, along with supposed Christians in the USA, have really vied for the bottom. Hamas is an issue, yes. But Zionist Israel oddly fomented that in Gaza. A more ordinary "regime change" that the USA is very familiar with would have put a moderate party in Gaza. This is from hell
And the Gazan kids, which is where your perspective is I take it, are caught in the middle. As a liberal Christian who also had some Jewish faith background before that, I vouch from my heart that this is spiritual stinkpot -- NOT the peace that both faiths supposedly flaunt.
The "return of Christ" has also been treated like a Sudoku puzzle rather than some organic development in the relationship of God to man according to New Testament promises. This is guaranteed to be wrong, smear the reputation of Christ, and subvert the goodness of God in Christians.
Personally I wouldn't be surprised if the return event is something like a celestial body careening into the earth, sending all souls to the hereafter quickly. But that's as far as I dare to try to foresee, and that tentatively. The return event shouldn't excuse misbehavior, that is sure.
I'm not particularly in love with militant Islam either, but Hamas seems to be penny ante here. It is the biblical fly that will make an otherwise fragrant ointment or perfume stink. This earthly hell is, I fear, going to keep up till the MAGA regime crashes from overreaching. My sympathies.
