I think I can say that we can make the Old Testament wooden "for its era" and not lose a lot of Christian morality, even though I am now convinced it is not necessary to do that to the Old Testament. But we can NOT sanctify disobedience to gospel.

The scenario we have here with us is even worse than the disobedience of Luke 12. They see Christ eschatologically at the door with Trump as alleged proof and somehow Trump is the excuse to disobey. This is the deep pit into which the church jumped with church-state.
