You are definitely right as far as removal from office. However when you Look back through the lens of history It will show that there were elected officials who cared about the rule of law , and some who didn't.

I know there are some who care. The problem is that there is shit in the pool, so to speak. So, everyone gets out and we shock the pool before anyone else gets back in.
The only difference we have between the 2 of us is you're looking at the short game I'm looking at the long game. 1 day maybe our children's children will look back and be able to better understand the shit we're dealing with today. Every President wants a legacy.
I think you have that backward. I say we need to clean out the whole pool because there are corrupt people on both sides of the aisle and until we remove profit from politics we will always inherit that corruption. Cleaning house NOW is how we know LONG TERM that the corruption didn't metastasize.
If there is anyone long term that is found, after investigation of all politicians, to be above suspicion, they are allowed to run for office again. But we NEED to have a control here - a static clean slate to measure corruption against - and the only way we know that is to start fresh.
With all due respect , we're both beating the same drum . I've always asked myself. What makes someone spend millions of dollars to take a job that only pays a $180.000 a year.
I also don't mean any disrespect. I simply think that we need to get rid of all politicians and start fresh. The "sacrifice" of them giving up their millions of dollars isn't a true sacrifice because most of them have their money stocked into assets anyway. You are right though, some are good.
The problem is that we don't have enough people in the USA who are intelligent enough to differentiate between those who are fully corrupt, those who are corrupt but still "say" the right things, those who are weaponized incompetence, and those who actually are decent people. So everyone out.
For instance, I personally LIKE AOC and Sanders. I also LIKE Crockett. That said, before I trust them, I have concerns. Sanders folding during Trump 1 is a huge red flag. Crockett getting more big money than small money is a huge red flag. AOC I have concerns about how polarized she is.
Liking them though doesn't put them above reproach even if my personal opinion agrees with them. Liking them and supporting a lot of their agenda does NOT automatically mean that they are not corrupt or that they ARE trustworthy. We should investigate that.
This is crude , But I'll. Share it anyway . My father once told me pick the politician you think has the smallest Dick because they're all going to fuck you 🙂
