Attackers generally win, especially when they outnumber the defenders. This has nothing to do with quality. It’s a given. The mobility and readiness of the re-enforcements to hit back will be key.

Well, attackers don’t always win: the previous armee of 60k did not succeed to take Pokrovsk so now they sent double in the hope to succeed. Let’s wait and see. I do believe fortifications will help but 100k (90k now) is a lot. Nazi Ruzzia is willing to die for stealing land from it’s neighbors. 🤢

Russian leadership is willing to sacrifice all of their people for their own personal ambitions. The loss of face with the “small military operation” is epic. The number of senseless casualties matches that. Putin needs a clear victory to stay in power. So I expect even much more victims.
