A very slightly disproportionate number of my all-time favourite film performances are by black actors so naturally my brain is working overtime to convince itself that this is actually more racist than being racist

[pausing to reflect] In hindsight, and with the disclaimer that things have very much not gotten better since, maybe being left-wing and extremely online in the mid to late '10s was not good for my moral OCD
