It's pretty messed up that I could get the flu vaccine for any reason, but am only eligible for the COVID (a much more dangerous disease, though I guess now becoming equivalent in total annual death toll) vaccine because I take an immunosuppresant medication for an unrelated condition.
Where I live, the people who had the injection for Covid, mostly actually contracted Covid a couple of times. Those who used Ivermectin, did not get it.
Across the country, those who were not vaccinated were several times more likely to die.
Got my flu shot today at CVS, the COVID vaccine wasn't available, the pharmacist said to check back in a week.
Agree. I am annoyed I need to drive across a state line to get it though. NY needs to get it's act together
Yeah I'm getting mine in NJ while I'll be there anyhow, but really annoying that I have to. Can't find my childhood immunization records & have no idea if I got an HPV vaccination, and the booking offered to let me add it in addition to the flu and COVID shots, so said may as well while it's legal.
Also pissed because I'd normally get the flu and COVID shots in October for better holiday season protection but decided to schedule it ASAP before they have a chance to do any fuckery with pulling the COVID vaccines altogether.
Thank goodness I'm 65.....

I'm scheduled to get mine this Thursday. I am able to get it because I have asthma and I had to get a prescription from my doctor
Mayo Clinic suggests immune-suppressed folks should have the mRNA vaccine. The mRNA vaccine does not interfere w immune system. Live virus vaccines shouldn’t be taken by those w compromised immune system unless doc recommends it. Other Covid vaccines are live viruses.
