It would also mean, everybody will get representation on the basis of the number of the votes. Which would re-engage many of those who have currently given up on politics. PR might not be the solution to everything, but it would help curb extremes and give people the representation they deserve!

For example, what about disabled people? Aren't they a minority? So with PR all their rights essentially shrink to nothing right? What happens to them?

No, quite the opposite! Their rights shrink with FPTP! Under PR, the chances that minorites will get representation are considerably higher! I'm always amazed how few British people actually know how their own electoral system works! Or what PR actually means!
