The government has many programs to help people but they have to do the work. Every one gets a free education, what they do with their education is up to them.

> The government has many programs to help people You mean the same programs that Republicans want to eliminate because they don't like so called "welfare queens"?

There are plenty of welfare queens that could be working and paying taxes instead of being a tax consumer. If you haven’t noticed our government has a spending problem.

Except you can't survive off of welfare alone. The idea that poor people don't work jobs because they are on welfare is complete bullshit. And funnily enough, when Regan first pushed that narrative and cut funding for welfare, the national debt started rising ever since.

The national debt was rising before Reagan. By the way congress was controlled by the democrats for over 50 years. Obama spent the most percentage wise. His shovel ready jobs and cash for clunkers was a joke.

> The national debt was rising before Reagan. Wrong. It started its decades long rise during Regan, and every single administration afterwards has not undid his policies. Hence why we are now in the trillions in debt.

False. Debt goes back to the 1920s at least. Obama skyrocketed the debt. Look at the history of spending.

I did. That's literally how I linked Regan to all of this.

Why is it difficult to accept Regan was a major contributor to the debt?

One he didn’t control the congress, two the debt didn’t increase significantly under him. Did you look at the Obama spending?
