This is Trump's Ag Secretary. Admitting that her goal is to "move the workforce towards automation": No more farmers on tractors--the few humans left will monitor the robots by computer. Oh, and deport all the Ag laborers currently harvesting our food. Until robots are ready, use other poor folks.

Also this linking of automation with Medicaid recipients needing to be working. Fewer jobs because of AI and automation, and fewer unemployed people. I'm convinced the unspoken policy of this administration is population control

This is also a tacit admission they want the death of family farms. Family farmers are barely scraping buy, there's zero chance they can be with corporate ag empowered by AI. And that will affect more than the farmers. Imagine spec homes as far as the eye can see on that old family farm land

The largest job sectors in the country is the healthcare industry. They may kill a lot of seniors off by cutting Medicaid, but they will never be able to automate changing, cleaning, and feeding of bedbound seniors with dementia.

They're already trying to: Every time you call your insurance company, you've got to fight your way through an AI maze before reaching a human. Will the robots be able to deal with real-life patients? No. But that won't stop the effort to make it happen.

That’s the insurance company! That’s not the healthcare. Insurance companies health insurance companies are an indirect form of healthcare. I’m referring to the work that Doctors, Nurses, CNA’s, physical and occupational therapists do in hospitals, rehab facilities, and long-term care facilities.

I can’t even imagine the horror for a person that is bedbound or has dementia with a machine coming at them to try to touch their private parts and clean them or give them medicine. These job could never be automated. The inhumanity and legal liability would be too costly.

For many crops Crop picking robots that would replace workers are at the "lab testing" phase. At least 5 years from a field testable prototype and probably a decade from being able to do it faster than people. The only viable automation in farming is for corn and grains where you just strip the field
