Female is a biological term. Woman is a sociological term. They often overlap in the same individuals but are entirely separate from eachother.
I'm male, I don't identify as a man or a male, it's just a truth about me. Transwomen are men, human males. That is simply just a truth about them. Transmen are women, human females. That is simply just a truth about them.
You can say it's true as often as you like, that doesn't change the facts. You are a human male who IDENTIFIES as a man. Being a male isn't what makes you a man, you just are. THAT is the simple truth. Transwomen are women and transmen are men. Just as much as ciswomen are women and cismen are men
Honestly I don't even prefer the word gay, I more often than not use the term homosexual because saying your gay comes with a lot of assumptions from other people.
That's why a lot of us use the word queer because it's a lot more broad in terms of definition.
I don't "identity" as anything. I'm male, because I was born male. I don't really fit into any of the societal constructs that most people would consider "manly".
If you don't fit in as "manly", then there's nothing preventing you from identify as something else if that's what you wanted.
Woman has ALWAYS been a biological term.
