You know who says taxing wealth doesn’t work? The very wealthy. As opposed to every study. Like ubi - those at the top are very invested in not sharing DESPITE how much difference it would make for others while having negligible affect on them. But it’s all about power & keeping you away from it.
Force them to be decent. Tax them at 1951 and 1952 rates for awhile.
To people of my and my parents generation who talk about conservatism being stable I remind them that the conservatism they are talking about was the conservatism of high top tax rates and asset building not selling.

Very rarely do people get rich by doing something right. It usually involves taking advantage of someone or something. Sadly, we can't expect them to have a change of heart.

Those at the top are invested in the concept of sharing. They simply want the sharing to be done by others: the workers, utilising their skills, time, and energy.
