It’s just so funny to me - the subtle ways the army said fu to him. Smart commander. They also played Fortunate Son, directly making fun of him. Drump had no idea what the words are. I take back the nasty things I said about the army. They were brilliant on so many levels.
It's odd bc he used that song at rallies. Fogerty told him to stop. I feel like he thinks in terms of movies and he associates the military with movies about Vietnam and that song is just a soundtrack to him, no awareness of meaning. He also often played the song from Les Mis at his rallies. 🤷♀️
Agree. Think his mind days “that’s a good idea” and jumps on it. And he’s obsessed what he can never be. Leaders, heroes, etc
