So no more MKT? My fav part of the train was the caboose
So no more MKT? My fav part of the train was the caboose
Mine, too!! Waving at them was so COOL!!!
It was!!! There were tracks not far from where I lived. I’d always go to one set and wait for the train. The other set of tracks, I’d play on/ride my bike across the trestle and wait for the train to pull out of dock by the mill. No one ever accused me of being bright. Wonder if that’s still there?
Oh we used to play on a RR trestle in Bells off of Hwy 69!! No.. not the best idea!! 🤪🤣😂🤣🤣
Too bad I didn’t meet you in Denison - we’d both need bail $!!! Lol - there was an old woman living by the tracks who when she saw me would call my mom. She knew what I was doing before I got home. Didn’t stop me. If I was on the trestle w train coming - bike and I jumped. Nothing but soft sand
That sounds like fun!! My parents had a friend who was an engineer. He'd stop across the street from our house & my little brother would get into the train w him for a few minutes. Today, he'd get fired for allowing a child into the engineer w him!! In addition, not staying on schedule!! 🤪😂🚂
I would have loved to have seen inside of a train!! Oh hell - my parents would be arrested for 1/100th of what I did and where I went. But so much fun!!
Are we related? 🤣
Lol - kindred spirits! The communication network back then almost quicker than the internet. I was only 2 blocks from school. My mom sat on the front porch and got reports from other kids what I had done that day before I got home. Damn Paula - told on me every time!!!!
🤣🤣🤣
If my parents knew some of the 💩i did, they would get the vapors!! 1st semester at GCCC I was in a dorm. We'd get drunk & go ride oil pumps! A miracle didn't get hurt or worse! I dont recommend it!! 🚫🚫🚫
So to get in that thing, did you have to climb up the back of it?
The one we hung out at had a small ladder. Beyond that, we were drunken college friends & helped each other up. It was b4 they had fences around them. It was simply a stupid challenge we did & im shocked no one fell & cracked our heads open. UGH.🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ #PoorCollegeChoices
My dad used to stop on the side of the road on our way to the river, Sherman, pottsboro or gunter so I could watch them. They were fascinating. I asked how to get up there but he wouldn’t tell me. He knew better😂😂😂😂
Can’t believe you did that! I’d be the one tapin! You are so lucky. It’s one thing sober, but
Good morning Mimi gangsta granny gangsta Dem 😍😍. We Felt indestructible when we were younger unlike today when we thank heaven for just waking up in morning 🥰
I remember those oil pumps!! I always wanted to do that!!! But have to admit they scared me a bit. You are lucky
My dad did this with my kids when switching over at ray yard. 😂 In high school anytime I skipped class my dad would always hear about it from the other guy at the railroad. That’s what I get for having that pen of a kind lowered truck.
GURL!! I skipped school w my BFF, went & hung out at the lake. We pretended to be sick. Got home in time to wash my swimsuit & towels. Unfortunately, I didn't think abt the school board meeting scheduled that night. The principal asked my mom, school board sec, how I was feeling. OOPS!! #Grounded 🤦♀️🤣
Yes I did. Dad had a wreck that evening & I was told I had to tell him b4 mom got home from meeting. It wasnt pleasant. LOLOL!!
I’m sure! But now it’s funny. My mom used to think it scared me when she said wait til your daddy gets home - so I’d have to tell him what I did. It’d make her so mad when he’d laugh at it. Except for the time I found a pony wandering and I brought it home and hid it. So much for finders keepers.
🤣 this is lake Texoma and just a few steps out our back door!! I’ve fished all over this lake and the river and ended up buying a home with my fav beach on the entire lake as our backyard.
You are so lucky!!!! And how beautiful!! I’d b spending all of my time on the water. My dad took me to this little place called paradise cove that I think was on lake Texoma. Still there? It was beautiful and we had that area all to ourselves. Used to be a little cave there.
Oh yes!! It has a glamping site out there that is beautiful. These are some of the little cabins. Sunset and Wilifa Woods is where we camped most or the burns. The lake is growing fast. We are getting a hard rock and a margaritaville. Did you ever jump from carpenters bluff bridge? 🙋♀️🤣
Oh, how FUN!!!
