Not really, we were projected to have picks #4 & 15, and this pick is projected to be at number 10. If we can swing trades, sure, but there’s very little draft value to squeeze out from here

this was the last year of skyes contract; zero guarantee she would come back next season, and they were able to get a first-round pick for her; likely improve their draft position for next year in the process; they want to go all in on youth and build around the rookie core, this streamlines that
