He went off the deep end last year when a smoking ban outside pubs was suggested, had a colossal hissy fit about it but his followers all disagreed with him. Not long after the Guardian posted an environmental story that wasn't actually true (they retracted it) but he ranted about Labour for hours.
I wonder if he is radicalised in some way. He is an intelligent person who seems just to be 100% reactionary now.
