I was thinking less about our cheap sucky spatulas and moreso how millions of people in developing nations ended up in a middle class because we shipped out skilled labor. And of course now we can’t make anything on our own, and no actual way to sieze the means of production even if ppl wanted to.
We should be lifting the world up instead of keeping them low-wage. Everyone on this planet could have a decent middle-class life if it weren't for the incessant greed of the wealthy.
Some countries have figured this out.
And I might also add, we shouldn't try to compete with low wage countries by following them to the bottom.
I mean is 'making money' the whole thing now, the be-all-end-all of everything?! They speak of 'family values,' but everything they do contradicts and preempts those values. When taking what little the poor have becomes 'sport,' then we're not living with the right zeitgeist. Fuck 'Reaganomics!'🤬

On my first date at 16 (my folks were strict and old fashioned) my dear friend and bandmate Larry drove me into Yuma. There we watched THE GOOD, THE BAD and the UGLY at the drive in. Then dinner. He was and is a perfect gentleman and it remains one of my best dates EVER.
