Well yes, but any idiot can get a trade deal, it's getting a good one that's the trick, and for that you need: 1. Knowledgeable and experienced negotiators. 2. Economic muscle (and something the other side desperately wants). 3. Time. We have none of these!

On trade and investment the over-excitable announcements are particularly damaging because they normally take years to make any difference, by which time people will have concluded they didn't. Oh, and the last government did the same. Where's the "change"?

They can’t win, you lie about what they are doing and use the excuse that they don’t give the press enough info. They give the info and you criticise them for giving too much info. Just be honest and say you hate Labour and we can all move on.

Sadly these things take time and the knuckle dragging Reform/Right Wing/Farage supporters have very limited attention span and live in a rat hole of similar people. I had the misfortune to discuss this with a Reform supporter and was astonished by their ignorance, their lack of analytical thought.
