For me, sobbing in my doctors office, begging her to try “watchful waiting” as the tumor was first seen on a CT scan ten years earlier. I was terrified of vascular surgery and chickened out of the first date on the books, Bravely went to the hospital, and the surgery was a success!

Then insurance denied it AFTER the fact. Now the hospital wants $57,000 as the surgery was coded as pelvic experimental. My kidneys are not in my womb. And blocking blood flow to a tumor is not an investigation. It is an attempt to prevent losing the organ to an invasive tumor.

I'm glad the surgery was successful, at least. You should go public about the way the insurance is treating you. No wonder people are shooting them down in New York
